Jaipur: World’s third largest cricket stadium Capacity Of 75,000

  Jaipur stadium :“It will be the third-largest stadium in the world. In which 75,000 spectators  at estimated cost of 300 crore".


Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) secretary Mahendra Sharma said the stadium will be spread over 100 acres. He said the land has been finalised in Chonp village, 25 km from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Delhi highway. He said construction is expected to begin in the next four months.

“It will be the third-largest stadium in the world. In which 75,000 spectators will be able to enjoy the match. The stadium will be constructed in two phases - In phase-1, 40,000 spectators capacity will be built with 11 cricket pitches, two practice grounds, one cricket academy, a hostel, parking facility, sports club, hotel and gym,” said Vaibhav Gehlot.

He said this will be the third largest stadium after the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad and the Melbourne cricket stadium, Motera has a seating capacity of 1.10 lakh while the Melbourne stadium can host 1.02 lakh people.


An RCA official said it will get infrastructure grant of 
100 crore for the project from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and another 100 crore will be raised from bank loans.

👉The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has handed over land lease deed to the cricket body for the stadium. The RCA will soon issue tenders for the construction, which is likely to start by September, the Rajasthan cricket body said.

👉"Construction work will be done in two phases. There will be 40,000 spectator capacity in the first phase and the ground will have 44 international level cricket pitches," an official statement read.

👉"There will be two practice grounds, four cricket academies, hostels, parking facilities, sports facilities like club, hotel, gym etc. and will be made of international level," it added.
